The ISBJava project is a library (collection) of classes written in
the Java programming language, that
are intended to be used for research in computational biology.
ISBJava was written by Stephen
Ramsey (who is now at Oregon State University) while working in
the laboratory of Hamid Bolouri at ISB. The compiled library and the
body of source code for these Java classes are available for download
within a self-extracting installer (see the "Download ISBJava" link
above), subject to the terms of the software
license agreement. The license agreement is the GNU Lesser
General Public License (LGPL), which is a standard "free software" and
"open source" license. ISBJava requires the Java 2 Runtime
Environment (JRE) version 1.4 or newer, or an equivalent JRE. For
more information about the ISBJava library, please consult
the ISBJava User Manual.
